Lancashire Community Education Sexual Health Team co-ordinates and delivers sexual health and wellbeing services to young people living in Lancashire. Our aim is to support young people and improve sexual health outcomes across Lancashire.
The Community Education Sexual Health Team work across the Lancashire County Council footprint:
North Lancashire: Lancaster & Morecambe, Fylde & Wyre
Central Lancashire: Preston, South Ribble, Chorley and West Lancashire
East Lancashire: Ribble Valley, Pendle, Burnley, Rossendale & Hyndburn
EDUCATIONAL OFFER

Alongside provision of quality clinical services for under 25s, we want to help ensure that young people are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to access local services and make informed decisions regarding their sexual health. Within the commission, our team of professionals are pleased to offer the following services FREE of charge:

Tutorials | Year 9: Healthy Relationships and Consent
Year 10: Sexuality, Stigma & STIs Year 11: Communication, Consent, Contraception, & Condoms Year 12+: Sexual Wellbeing update in partnership with The Independent Sexual Violence Advice Service (ISVA) |
Health promotion | We are happy to attend school drop down days and support any health events to promote good sexual health and signpost to services |
SRE Support | We offer sexual health updates for staff, and support for staff who deliver PSHE |
Further Education Establishments | We offer all sessions above for Further Education Establishments including colleges, sixth forms and universities
We offer support during themed weeks, regular pop-up stalls providing condoms and sign posting We provide a FREE condom scheme for sites working with young people over 16 |

We do regular sessions at Princes Trust, children’s homes, youth services, etc
Targeted Session | A one-hour session which cover areas including consent, sex and the law, contraception, STIs and how to access services. |

We offer support during themed weeks, regular pop-up stalls providing condoms and sign posting. |
Staff Support | We offer sexual health updates and support for staff meetings.
We have a small supply of resources including contraception box, condom demonstrators which can be loaned to services wishing to deliver their own sexual health sessions. |
Free condom
Scheme |
We provide a FREE condom scheme for sites that would like to distribute condoms on site. The Condom Distribution Scheme is a Lancashire wide initiative to improve sexual health awareness and meet the needs of young people regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, age, religion, background, or disability. |
