Lancashire Community Education Sexual Health Team co-ordinates and delivers non-clinical sexual health and wellbeing services to young people living in Lancashire.
Our aim is to support young people and improve sexual health outcomes and signpost into local clinical services. Examples of what we can provide include school tutorials, assemblies and targeted sessions to under 25s, training and support of RSE delivery, health events and updates for staff who are working in a community setting.
The CESH team also provide registration and training for the free Condom Distribution Scheme that is open to all services who are engaging with young people under the age of 25.
Our Community Education team comprises of four members who liaise regularly with local groups and organisations to collaboratively seek ways of improving sexual health outcomes for under 25s across the Lancashire County Council footprint (not including Blackpool or Blackburn with Darwen).

We regularly book in Sam or Tania to deliver sessions for our PD lessons or PD days. Both are excellent. They engage well with students and deliver effective lessons which meet the Government statutory guidelines. Our students appreciate these sessions being delivered by experts.

Ridewood Community High School, Burnley
We really appreciate how much time Rachel put into planning sessions for our students who have a variety of special educational needs, with each group needing a different level of input. Rachel came to meet the students before the sessions so they felt more comfortable and prepared for the sessions.

Ellen held her own against a tough audience, they were kept engaged and all questions handled professionally. Ellen was quickly able to create an atmosphere that showed she could communicate with the pupils in a way they could respond to. Ellen was fantastic!
